How do I create my AI digital copy?
After signing up, tap "For Myself" on the Welcome screen and complete the calibration questions. Your AI copy will be created based on your responses, writing style, and interactions. The more you chat, the more accurate it becomes.
How do I delete my account?
Open the app → Profile → Settings → Privacy & Data → Delete Account. Confirm the deletion and all your data will be permanently removed within 30 days. This action is irreversible.
Is my data secure and private?
Yes! All your data is encrypted using industry-standard HTTPS/TLS 1.3 and stored securely on Google Cloud (EU region). We comply with GDPR, CCPA, and KVKK regulations. Your data is never sold or shared with third parties. For more details, read our

How do I sign up?
You can sign up using Email/Password, Google Sign-In, or Apple Sign-In. Email and social logins do NOT require SMS verification. Phone number registration is optional and requires SMS verification.
Can I use Othermy without phone verification?
Absolutely! Use Email/Password, Google, or Apple Sign-In to skip SMS verification entirely. Phone verification is only required if you choose to register with a phone number.
What is an AI digital copy?
Your AI digital copy is a personalized chatbot that learns your communication style, memories, and personality through calibration questions and conversations. It mimics how you write, think, and respond - creating a digital version of yourself.
Is the AI chatbot private?
Yes. All conversations are encrypted and private. AI responses are generated using OpenAI's API, but your personal data is never used for public AI model training. Your conversations stay between you and your digital copy.
How do I change my profile photo?
Go to Profile → Tap your profile photo circle → Select "Change Profile Photo" → Choose Camera (take new photo) or Photo Library (select existing). You can also edit and crop your photo before saving.
What age is required to use Othermy?
You must be 18 years or older to create an account and use Othermy. Age verification is enforced during registration through birth date validation.
I forgot my password. What should I do?
On the login screen, tap "Forgot Password?" → Enter your registered email → Check your inbox for a password reset link. If you don't receive it within 5 minutes, check your spam folder.
How do I find friends on Othermy?
Go to Profile → Find Friends → Scan their QR code using your camera, or enter their User ID manually. You can also share your own QR code or User ID with friends.
Can I switch the app language?
The app automatically detects your device language. Currently supported languages: English and Turkish. To change language, go to your device Settings → General → Language & Region.
How do voice messages work?
In the chat screen, tap and hold the microphone button to record a voice message. Release to send. Your AI copy can respond with text or voice, learning your speaking patterns over time.
What happens to my data if I freeze my account?
Account freezing preserves all your data (AI copy, conversations, memories) but suspends access. You can unfreeze anytime by contacting support. Deletion permanently removes everything within 30 days.
The app is not working. What should I do?
Try these steps: 1) Force close the app and reopen, 2) Check your internet connection, 3) Update to the latest version, 4) Restart your device. If the issue persists, email us at support@othermy.com with a description and screenshot.
Can I export my chat history?
Currently, chat export is not available but is planned for a future update. You can delete your account to remove all data, or keep it active to preserve your conversations.
How does the AI learn my personality?
Through calibration questions, conversation history, voice recordings, and your writing style. The AI analyzes your tone, vocabulary, communication patterns, and emotional expressions to create an accurate digital reflection.
Is there a subscription fee?
Currently, Othermy is completely free with no in-app purchases or subscriptions. All features are available to all users. We may introduce premium features in the future.
